This still leaves the possibility of another workshop in early October before we display the poppies., which will be set up from the 29-31 October 2018.
The dates for the display have been arranged from the 1st November until Sunday the 18th November 2018.
The Methodist Church will be open during this time (9.30am-8.00pm) serving tea and coffee and we will hopefully have representatives from the poppy workshops on hand during this time to talk to anyone who visits the display.
We are hoping to have a display from the DLI on show in Chapel during this period.
There will be two Festival of Remembrance services held on Thursday and Friday the 8 and 9 November 2018. These will be ticket only events as it is expected that numbers will be very high.
The Lord Lieutenant of County Durham, Mrs Sue Snowdon has accepted our invitation to attend the Thursday service as our guest of honour.
The Lanchester Brass Band, Choral Society and Male Voice Choir will all be participating in these services.
We are still taking orders for poppies so please spread the word. £10 for a special poppy with a dog tag and £5 for one without a dog tag. The children’s poppies together with the soldier’s dog tag on can be bought by that child for £5.
The next workshop is Saturday the 19 May 2018 from 2-4pm at Croft View Halls.
